Lymphedema patients need comprehensive care to manage their disease. In the U.S. 6.8 million individuals have been diagnosed with lymphedema. Research shows that lymphedema can occur after cancer or its treatment that affect lymph node drainage (1). Following surgeries that many breast cancer patients undergo the overall incidence of arm lymphedema can range from 8% to 56% at 2 years after surgery (2).
